Tours in Parnidis Dune
Nida boasts Europe's tallest sand dunes, with the iconic 52 m high Parnidis dune offering stunning views of the Baltic Sea and Curonian Lagoon. Perched atop the dune is a 13.8 meters high sundial, surrounded by steps marking the hours.
This summer hotspot attracts visitors from around the world, but with increasing tourism and shifting sands, these dunes are at risk. Over the past 30 years, Parnidis dune has lost about 10 meters in height. Be a responsible traveler – explore the dunes along the 1.8 km road and help preserve this natural wonder.
Did you know? From 1675 to 1854, this wandering dune even swallowed up four villages called Nagliai. Ready for an adventure? Book your tour with us and discover the timeless beauty of Lithuania!
