PROGRAM:

DAY 1 (TUESDAY): ARRIVAL ST. PETERSBURG
Arrival in St. Petersburg, optional transfer to Hotel Sokos Olympic Garden**** or similar, check-in, welcome meeting.

DAY 2 (WEDNESDAY): ST. PETERSBURG
St. Petersburg is an amazing city. Its imperial palaces and museums enjoy worldwide fame, while the Neva River and the many canals have deservedly given the city the title “The Venice of the North”. During the morning sightseeing tour we get acquainted with all the splendours of the city: the Peter-Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St.Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Savior, the Nevsky Convent and much more. The afternoon off ers an optional visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum. In the evening an optional visit to the Nikolaevsky Palace with an exciting Russian folklore show is on the program.

DAY 3 (THURSDAY): ST. PETERSBURG
An optional excursion in the morning off ers a visit to Peterhof, an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade and Water Avenue and its wonderful parks. The afternoon is reserved for an optional guided shopping tour to fashion and souvenir boutiques on the Nevsky Prospect. And in the evening enjoy an optional Russian dinner at Restaurant Na Zdoroviye.

DAY 4 (FRIDAY): ST. PETERSBURG-MOSCOW
The morning is reserved for exploring more of St. Petersburg individually. In the afternoon we go to the Moscow Railway Station and board the Aurora train bound for Moscow. The train ride takes us through endless Russian landscapes along the River Volga. In the evening we arrive to Moscow and check in at Hotel Novotel Centrum Moscow*** or similar.

DAY 5 (SATURDAY): MOSCOW
Moscow, The Mother of Russia, is a genuine Russian city with the Kremlin and its onion domed cathedrals. The dramatic changes over the last decade have made the city to one of the most dynamic metropoles in the world. The morning sightseeing tour includes all the highlights of the vast city: the Red Square with Kremlin, the Theatre Square with Bolshoi Theatre, Sparrow Hills with Moscow University and a visit to the famous Moscow Metro. In the afternoon is off ered an optional excursion to the Kremlin grounds with a visit to a cathedral and the Armoury.

DAY 6 (SUNDAY): MOSCOW
The day off ers an optional excursion to Novidevichy Convent, a 16th century cluster of sparkling domes, one of the city’s most beautiful groups of buildings and full of history and treasures. The adjacent Novodevichy Cemetery is Moscow‘s most prestigious resting place after the Kremlin. The balance of the day is reserved for exploring more of Moscow individually. The evening off ers an optional visit to the Old Russian Circus.

DAY 7 (MONDAY): MOSCOW DEPARTURE
Optional transfer to airport.

DAY 8 (FRIDAY): GEILO-KARLSTAD
Today we continue through central Norway and we enter the county of Varmland in Sweden. Throughout the balance of the day we drive through typical Swedish landscapes and thick forests, which evoke an atmosphere of intriguing fairytales. In the afternoon we arrive at Karlstad at the Lake Vanern and we check-in at Hotel Clarion Plaza**** or similar.

DAY 9 (SATURDAY): KARLSTAD-STOCKHOLM
In the morning we continue towards Stockholm through a varied landscape of forests, lakes and fertile farmland. We arrive in Stockholm around lunch time and check-in at Hotel First Aramenten**** or similar. The afternoon is free for individual encounters with the Swedish capital.

DAY 10 (SUNDAY): STOCKHOLM
Stockholm - the beauty on the water - is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, built on 14 islands and protected from the sea by Skargarden, the Stockholm archipelago. The morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral and the city center with its famous City Hall. The afternoon is free for individual visits, perhaps to the Wasa Museum or an optional tour to Uppsala.

DAY 11 (MONDAY): STOCKHOLM-HELSINKI
The morning is free to explore more of Stockholm individually. Mid-afternoon we leave for the pier to embark on the Silja Line ferry bound for Helsinki. While we travel slowly down the archipelago past numerous islands and islets we enjoy a sumptuous dinner on board the ship. And afterwards there is a wide choice of entertainment with bars, shops, casino and much more.

DAY 12 (TUESDAY): HELSINKI-ST. PETERSBURG
Helsinki is truly located at the crossroads of Western and Eastern culture and this is refl ected everywhere in the green and lively Finnish capital. Directly after disembarkation we start a sightseeing tour, which takes us around the harbors, up central Mannerheim Street and by the Parliament Building, the Finlandia Hall, and the Sibelius Monument and the famous Church-in the-Rock. The tour ends at the rail station where we embark the Repin train bound for Russia and St. Petersburg. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel Sokos Olympic Garden**** or similar and check-in.

DAY 13 (WEDNESDAY): ST. PETERSBURG

PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS:

30% pre-payment for all ordered tours is required at the moment of booking. If 30% pre-payment is not received 5 working days after the guaranteed departure booking confirmation was sent - the reservation is cancelled automatically. The rest 70% of grand total amount (including all optional services) must be paid 6 weeks (42 days) before tour start day.

Cancellations:
For cancellations made:
41 – 28 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of 50% of the total tour costs is charged.
27 – 22 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of 75% of the total tour costs is charged.
Cancellation later than 21 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour costs is charged.



SERVICE STANDARTS:

Hotels: We are in general using good centrally located 4 star hotels. Where these are not available we are using centrally located superior 3 star hotels. Please in particular note that in Moscow and St. Petersburg we have made a choice for very good superior 3 star hotels. The Baltic Biking tour is based on good 3 star hotels. We reserve the right to change the hotels. Alternative hotels will be of the same standard as the hotels mentioned in the catalogue, both in terms of standard and location. Final hotel names will be advised latest 1 month prior to arrival.

Meals: Breakfasts are buffet style at all hotels.

Coaches: Our coaches are new 49-seater 1st class coaches with air conditioning, adjustable seats, toilet, fridge and possible other conveniences. Depending on sales some tours or segment of tours and optional tours will be operated with new 1st class minivans with adjustable seats and air conditioning. For comfort and security we always keep at least 3 empty seats in coaches and minivans. Passengers are covered by 3rd party liability insurance. Drivers are driving strictly according to EU regulations. We do not allow smoking in the vehicles. Seating in the vehicles is free.

Tour escorts: Our tour escorts are university graduates and have been specially trained as guides and as multilingual tour escorts. The tour escorts we use are very experienced and most have been working for us for many years. The tour escorts will be assisted by local guides if needed or required.

Portage: Portage of one piece of luggage is included at all hotels and railway stations.

Welcome letter: On arrival to the hotel the guests will receive a personalized welcome letter announcing time and place for the welcome meeting.

Welcome meeting: The welcome will start at 19:00 in the lobby of the hotel. During the welcome meeting the guests will be served a welcome drink. The tour escort will introduce the program and the optional tours and the guests will receive various materials such as: a personalized program, information materials and city tips, a useful list of the best museums, shopping possibilities and restaurants in each city

Visa support: Visa support and registrations fees are included for tours to Russia and Belarus.

Number of participants: We allow max 45 guests on the same tour. The average number of guests is around 35. For the Baltic Biking tours we allow max 18 guests on the same tour. These tours are often full.



SPECIAL FEATURES
:

Arrival transfers: If guests have ordered private arrival transfer they will be met by a driver with a name board reading their surnames in the arrival hall of the airport.

Optional excursions and dinners: Our tours come with an extensive choice of optional excursions and dinners. The optional excursions feature important highlights not included into the standard sightseeing tour and always include transport, guide service and entrances. The optional dinners are either half-board at hotel or special dinners at local restaurants. Dinners at hotels are either a substantial 3-course set menu or buffet style. The dinners include ice-water and coffee/tea. Dinners at local restaurant include a substantial 3-course menu with ice-water and coffee/tea. In some cases alcoholic drinks, folklore music or other types of live music is included. We have carefully chosen local restaurants which are typical of the area and yet something special and which offer good food and service and good value. The dinners at local restaurants include guide and transport, in some few cases the restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel (max 10 min walk) and transport is not included. At both hotel and local restaurant additional drinks can be ordered and paid for at the spot.

Diplomas for active touring: The participants in the Baltic Biking tours will receive a diploma for successfully completing active touring in the Baltic countries.

Pre and Post stays: We offer attractive wholesale rates for guests who would like to arrive earlier or depart later. Please ask for a detailed pricelist.

Quality control: Our ambition is to render the best possible service and we ask all guests to fill out a service questionnaire evaluating the service. The questionnaires are handed over to the guests during the welcome meeting and collected at the end of the tour. Moreover, we are happy to receive feedback in any other form, aiming to help us to maintain and raise the standard of our product.

Safety and security: Safety and security is a major priority in all our operations. We only use suppliers that guarantee the same thing. We carefully check the insurance and operating license of all our suppliers and we are very attentive to safety and security in the way we operate ourselves.
